One of Americas Largest Powered Paraglider Training Schools

Certified Flight Instruction

You've seen us in the press, videos & on TV, and from our company image and the videos and photos of our team and the Phoenix PPG Group in action, it is clear we know how to have FUN, but make no mistake, we take our Training programs, and safety of our students VERY SERIOUSLY. We have a 100% student safety record!

At Paradrenalin, we utilize a combination of the most successful Training curriculums and syllabus available in the industry, including; USPPA & ParaToys Training methodologies, USHPA elements, combined with elements developed exclusively by Paradrenalin. These syllabus are documented, tested and refined over many years of PPG Training, and have safely trained more students than any individual school in the USA. The Paradrenalin Training curriculum includes Personal, Printed and Video (DVD) instruction & reference materials.

Paradrenalin offers one of the most comprehensive Training programs, of any Powered Paraglider Training school in the USA, with 2 Professional, Award Winning Certified Instructors for broad, extensive experience, teaching styles & individual attention.

Your personal instruction will be conducted by one or more of our 2 Professional Certified Flight Instructors: USUA & ASC Flight Instructors, USPPA Certified Instructor/School, USHPA Tandem Instructor, AND we have combined 28 years PG (Free Flight Paraglider) USHGA Rated, and over 18 years PPG experience. You will benefit from the combined experience, knowledge and perspective of 2 Professional Instructors. SAFETY and FUN oriented training is our specialty, just ask our former students.

We offer several types & levels of Training:

  • Beginner Training Courses (Basic or USPPA Rated)
  • Advanced Training Course
  • Instructor Training Course

With 2 current Certified Instructors on staff, and a testing associate, we can also do your BFI certification for PPG Instructor/Tandem Flying, and help any experienced pilot become a Certified Instructor. This will allow you to legally take a second person flying (for the purpose of instruction). Call us for more info & rates.

We provide the Training on your own equipment. We will help you to select and purchase the appropriate equipment for your needs if you decide to purchase.

Why Train with Paradrenalin ?

Out of town students, please click here for Arizona accommodation and other relevant information

Desert Training locations typically in the areas above or optionally at PRA airport.

Come and watch our Instructors Train new Pilots, ask questions, check out our gear & shop, or just watch us or our former students fly BEFORE you decide on an Instructor or equipment to purchase.

Unlike some Instructors/Dealers, we can train you even if you don't buy equipment from ParaToys (as long as the equipment is safe). We believe you should have a choice of instructors & schools, not being forced into buying one Dealers equipment just to get Training or access to his flying sites. Any instructor who will not train you unless you buy his equipment has motives other than your safety and enjoyment of the sport.

When you're finished your Training, you are always welcome to fly with us, and the Phoenix PPG group in some of Arizona's & the World's best scenery!

As a former Paradrenalin student, you will become part of a large community in which you can continuously grow and develop your flying skills. You may choose to fly independently, or in group situations, but either way, you are not ALONE, we are just a phone call away.

** Be wary of Schools offering fixed position & turnaround winch tow instruction for beginners. Winch towing shows a disproportionately high death rate, and is NOT for beginners. * *

As a Paradrenalin full course student, you will also receive a Training DVD set to review and practice in your own time, speeding up your training, skills & confidence, and getting you into the air faster, and safer. These DVD's do not replace personal instruction, but act as reference material throughout your flying career, and are exclusive to Paratoys & Paradrenalin.

We Train from various locations in the North Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Cave Creek and Lake Pleasant areas, where you will learn to deal with real-life PPG launch & landing scenarios, allowing you to fly from sites many pilots trained at other schools just dream of flying. The locations always have ample unobstructed space for safe Beginner Pilot Training.

If you're interested in Powered Paragliding, but not sure you want to commit to spending all the money required to purchase your own equipment, or full Training Courses, the best way to start out is a Tandem Flight.

Training Courses

The goal of the beginner training course is to provide the student with the skills and knowledge to set up the equipment, properly ground handle the paraglider, launch and land with instructor's assistance and to reach the goal of flying without the instructor's assistance in just a few days. The student will learn all aspects of Powered Paragliding that would normally take a student many years to learn on their own.

Our Full course fees include a comprehensive printed Training Manual on all aspects of Training, Homework during the course, Paramotor setup & maintenance information, Tips & Tricks, DVD's to watch, practice during your own time, and recommended reading lists and resources for all Paradrenalin PPG course students. We recommend the Beginner Training Course which leads to a USPPA PPG1 Rating as it allows more instruction time, and offers more directly supervised solo flights.

We also offer Group training and Traveling Instructors who can come to you. Classes sizes are limited to no more than 3 students per instructor to ensure personalized instruction, with up to 2 Instructors simultaneously teaching. Please call for available Training Class commencement dates, and Group Training discounts. Training scheduling is flexible.
